Yes, finally, I am bringing back my hobby of gift-giving. It's November now, so it's time to start the Christmas lists for friends, family, and even more difficult... co-workers!
Because you don't want to spend more than $10 on them, but you need to make them think you put a ton of work into locating the perfect gift. So here's some suggestions:
The Cubicle Doorbell ($12)
Luggage Tags ($10) - cool ones, set of 6
I Heart Office Stickers ($5)
97 Ways to Make a Dog Smile and Woofy Pop ($14)
Office Monkeys ($11)
Awesome cubicle signage ($7 each)
"I'd rather be in my pajamas"
"Poof. My work here is done."
"Impossible you say? Nothing is impossible when you work for the circus."

Plan gone awry
Well, my plan to order the dog ornament went awry yesterday when Miles Kimball cancelled my order. No explanation. No alternatives. Just an email saying "We regret to inform you that the order you placed has been partially or fully cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience." Yeah, thanks.
Well, that's $12 more dollars that will go to the Humane Society instead of to a lasting memory for the grieving family. But I know they'll appreciate it anyway.

In memory of a lost pet
A friend of mine recently sent a note that their beloved dog of 13 years passed away. Absolutely nothing can ease that kind of grief. But what I can do is help celebrate Pebbles' life by making a donation to the Humane Society of Williamson County and get her a personalized Christmas ornament in memory of Pebbles so they can share fun stories about her every year as they put the ornament on the Christmas tree.

More baby gifts
If you're one of those "no pink cutsie crap for the baby" people, check out www.thetrendytadpole.com and www.rebelinkbaby.com for the good stuff.
Some of my fave baby/kid clothes from these guys are:
These aren't the parents I ordered
Vegas Baby
I'm gonna need therapy
I live in a gated community
It ain't gonna change itself
Beastie Babies: Fight for your right to potty
And bonus - when I ordered from Rebel Ink Baby, I got a free pacifier (black! with the Rebel Ink logo!)

Lampasaurus Rex!
If you've got a dinosaur enthusiast in your house (kid or husband!), this dinosaur lamp kit is the perfect gift. At just under $20, it'll keep 'em busy for hours and not bust your budget.
My new favorite gift
I love FlipClips.com. For merely $20, you can upload a 1 minute video and have it turned into 4 full-color flipbooks with envelopes that you can send to all the relatives. Your baby's first steps. Your kid's first home run. You're daughter walking down the aisle at her wedding. Such a unique gift!
